Beta Terms of Service

LabHit is currently in public beta. These Beta Terms govern your use of the LabHit platform during the beta period. A formal legal entity is being established, at which point these terms will be replaced with full commercial Terms of Service.

Service Provider: LabHit — legal@labhit.dev

1. Beta Program

LabHit is provided as a free developer preview (“Beta”). During the beta period:

By using the Beta, you acknowledge that this is pre-release software and agree to these terms.

2. Account

To access the Beta, you authenticate via GitHub OAuth. By doing so, you authorize LabHit to access your public GitHub profile information (email, display name, username, avatar URL) as described in our Beta Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your API tokens confidential.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

API access is subject to rate limits (100 read / 10 write requests per minute per IP).

4. Extensions

During the beta, all extensions on the marketplace are free. You may publish free extensions subject to the extension review process. Paid extensions are not available during the beta period.

Extensions run in a sandboxed environment. You use third-party extensions at your own risk.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create (pipeline definitions, extensions, build artifacts). LabHit processes your content only as necessary to provide the service.

The LabHit CLI and engine are open-source under Apache 2.0.

6. No Warranty

The Beta is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. LabHit does not guarantee that the service will be available, error-free, or that your data will be preserved.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for: (a) fraud; (b) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

LabHit’s liability for any claim arising from the Beta shall not exceed EUR 100. This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Beta is subject to our Beta Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

LabHit may update these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Since the Beta is free, you may stop using it at any time.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Beta at any time. LabHit may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, during the beta period.

When the beta period ends, these terms will be replaced with full Terms of Service. You will be notified and asked to accept the new terms before continuing to use the service.
