Beta Terms of Service
LabHit is currently in public beta. These Beta Terms govern your use of the LabHit platform during the beta period. A formal legal entity is being established, at which point these terms will be replaced with full commercial Terms of Service.

1. Beta Program
LabHit is provided as a free developer preview (“Beta”). During the beta period:
- All features are available at no cost
- No paid subscriptions or paid extensions are available
- The service may change, have downtime, or be discontinued at any time
- Data created during the beta (pipelines, extensions, account data) may not be preserved after the beta period ends
By using the Beta, you acknowledge that this is pre-release software and agree to these terms.
2. Account
To access the Beta, you authenticate via GitHub OAuth. By doing so, you authorize LabHit to access your public GitHub profile information (email, display name, username, avatar URL) as described in our Beta Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your API tokens confidential.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Circumvent usage limits or rate limits
- Distribute malware or conduct denial-of-service attacks through the platform
- Create accounts using automated means
API access is subject to rate limits (100 read / 10 write requests per minute per IP).
4. Extensions
During the beta, all extensions on the marketplace are free. You may publish free extensions subject to the extension review process. Paid extensions are not available during the beta period.
Extensions run in a sandboxed environment. You use third-party extensions at your own risk.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create (pipeline definitions, extensions, build artifacts). LabHit processes your content only as necessary to provide the service.
The LabHit CLI and engine are open-source under Apache 2.0.
6. No Warranty
The Beta is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. LabHit does not guarantee that the service will be available, error-free, or that your data will be preserved.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for: (a) fraud; (b) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7. Limitation of Liability
LabHit’s liability for any claim arising from the Beta shall not exceed EUR 100. This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Beta is subject to our Beta Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
LabHit may update these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Since the Beta is free, you may stop using it at any time.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Beta at any time. LabHit may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, during the beta period.
When the beta period ends, these terms will be replaced with full Terms of Service. You will be notified and asked to accept the new terms before continuing to use the service.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bucharest, Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your domicile.
